Say YES to Jesus!

Jesus wants to know you. Will you say "yes"?

The central will of God for us is that we would have a real relationship with Him.  Everything in life hinges on the depth to which we know God. Going to church is important, but alone it is not enough.
We need to KNOW God.

Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who calls out to Me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of My Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to Me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name and cast out demons in Your name and performed many miracles in Your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s laws.’

Knowing God is not about religion, church attendance, or doing good things. It is about having a personal relationship with Him.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

All sin has to be paid for by death. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty of death for each one of us.

God has already done His part to restore our relationship to Him. Now it is up to us to individually accept what He has done for us.

How to accept Jesus

  1. Realise that God has not been first place in your life and ask Him to forgive your sins.

    1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

  2. Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins, and that He rose from the grave and is alive today.

    Romans 10:9-10
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

  3. Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it.

    Ephesians 2:8-9
God saved you by His grace when you believed.  And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

  4. Invite Jesus Christ to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life.

    JOHN 1:12
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me even when I’ve ignored you.
I realise I need you in my life, and I am sorry for my sin.
Thank you for dying on the cross for me.
I ask you to forgive my sins.
Be my Lord and Saviour.
Please come into my life.
I thank you.
Amen.

Did you just accept Jesus? Amazing! We would love to know so we can support you on this incredible journey.
